Brain Dead and SOUTH2 WEST8 Team Up for Their First Capsule Collection
Los Angeles creative powerhouse Brain Dead joins forces with Japanese outdoor label SOUTH2 WEST8 for their first-ever collaboration, dropped on May 9 at 10 a.m. PT.
Blending Brain Dead’s bold, offbeat aesthetic with SOUTH2 WEST8’s fishing and nature-inspired craftsmanship, the capsule offers a functional yet irreverent spin on outdoor wear. Expect breathable, weather-resistant fabrics worked into various vests, jackets, pants, and accessories designed to turn heads on and off the water.
Standouts include a Brain Dead remix of SOUTH2 WEST8’s cult-favourite Tenkara Jacket, now featuring a custom P200 Hybrid/Aero™ Tempest Camo print, and the reimagined Belted Centre Seam “Fishing Pant” adorned with Brain Dead’s signature graphics and embroidered patches. The collection also introduces foldable sunglasses equipped with glare shields and polarised lenses—a nod to SOUTH2 WEST8’s fishing roots with an added Brain Dead twist.
The full collection will be available through Brain Dead’s online store and select retail locations starting May 9.
