Exclusive First Look at the atmos x New Balance 1000 "Bāṅdhnū"

The New Balance 1000 continues to make waves in the sneaker world, with high-profile collaborations alongside brands like Joe Freshgoods and Aimé Leon Dore. Now, the legendary runner teams up with atmos for a fresh, retro-futuristic take on the silhouette. Teased by atmos creative director Hirofumi Kojima, the upcoming atmos x New Balance 1000 "Bāṅdhnū" takes its inspiration from bandana prints, blending cultural history with modern design.

The shoe features an all-over paisley print upper, extending into the interior bootie, with black suede overlays adding texture and contrast. White embroidered details elevate the design, while "Bāṅdhnū," meaning "to tie" in Hindi, references the symbolic power of bandanas across different cultures. This collaboration is part of atmos' 25th-anniversary collection and will be featured in the brand's "Grey Days" celebration.

After a preview last month, the "Bāṅdhnū" will debut at atmos Kyoto's "Grey Days" event on May 16. A limited number of bandanas will be given away to lucky buyers, and a raffle will open on May 17. The sneaker will then officially drop on May 24, available through atmos.
